THE EXTRA MILE START
“…because leaders sometimes have to go the extra mile”
The Extra Mile is the ceremonial start of the march for leaders who want to walk, talk and dramatize their commitment to equity, justice and fairness. Use the Invitation Tree to invite your staff or constituent to walk with you on the Extra Mile. Knowing about the past allows us to understand the future. The Extra Mile is a look back to our civil rights past with civil rights era sing-a-longs, marching arm-in-arm and the music. So, if you’re a person who goes the extra mile or carries an extra load in the service of others, the Extra Mile is for YOU.
